CSCE 312 : Homework Assignments

Homework 1: Following 19 questions from Chapter 2 are assigned. Use your current text (Vahid-Second Edition) to get these questions. Due: 9/22/15 5PM

Homework 2: Following 10 questions are from Chapter 3 of Digital Design book. Use second edition. Due on 10/01/15 at 5 pm.

3.2, 3.4, 3.9, 3.12, 3.21, 3.25, 3.33, 3.40, 3.43, 3.45.

Homework 3: Due: 10/15/2015 at 5 pm.


a. Please see the due date to submit your homework.

b. Show your work, not just answers for each problem to earn the credits.

c. 5% bonus credit will be given if you are working in a group of two or more.

But you must provide the name of your team mates, place/time/date of meeting. Submissions must be unique for each of you though it is encouraged that you discuss the concept and compare your answers.

Read below on how to turn in your home-work answers (preferred way). You can also turn in answers on paper if you prefer that way. In that case you have to turn in to your TA directly or slide them under his door.

Submission Instructions

Turn-in procedure : PLEASE Follow instruction from your TA to turnin homework solutions using e-Campus ONLY.

The csnet is not required for submitting homework solutions.

1. Login to CSNET at with your CS account

2. Click "My Courses" on the left side of the screen;

3. Click "CSCE312-501" or "CSCE312-502" or “CSCE312-503” from the section of "Courses I am taking"

4. Click "turnin" from the "Assignments" section on the left side of the screen

5. Choose the corresponding assignment and upload the file you want to turn in.

6. If you want to check whether you have successfully turned in the assignment, you can click "View my Submissions" from the "Assignments" section on the left side of the screen. Then you can view all of your previous submissions, the time you turned in, on time/late; you can also download the file you previously turned in.

Assignments are due before midnight if the due date is not specified in the assignment.

Teaming Bonus

A bonus of 5% will be given if you work on your homework in a group of two or more. You are encouraged to discuss the concept and compare your answers, but submissions for each student must be unique. To obtain this credit, in your homework submission you must list the names of your teammates and place/time/date of meeting(s).
